Tour of Utah Stage 3

D and I went to watch Stage 3 of the Tour of Utah. We got to SLC about 6 so we were able to get a good, free parking space and watched the Rock Racing entourage pull up. There was a huge motorhome, a semi cab and some Cadillacs.

We went through the vender area and scored some water bottles and a Toyota United bell. Those puppies are LOUD! It was fun seeing all the cycling stuff and drooling over bikes I will never own.

We went through the team areas. Garmin-Chipotle had the most private area, completely blocked off with building and vehicles. They were the only ones with fans milling about.

After getting take-out, we went back to the seats we brought and watched the race. "Here they come. There they go." about a bazillion times. Since it was about a 65 minute race on a little over a mile circuit, they came by a lot. We were on one side of a metal barricade and they rode about 10 inches away from us. Very close and very fast. A Toyota United guy was so far off the front I didn't know if he was last or first. (He was first for a while).

We didn't see the end of the race as we were located about 75 yards past the finish line. Fortunately, the winner still had his arms up when he passed us so we could see who won.
